The
Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM) is proud to be hosting the 23rd Asian
Actuarial Conference (AAC), themed “Creating Outstanding Value in Disruption” from
11 to 14 October 2021 with an expected attendance of over 700 actuaries and
business leaders.
The
theme for AAC 2021 focuses on the new normal that the world is living now
especially with the pandemic situation still in a critical stage globally.
It is through such adversity that innovation shines brightly through. With
new technology and ever changing fast paced moving world we live in, this
year’s conference in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre brings new meaning
to the new normal.
Our
Program Committee is compiling an outstanding yet diverse conference
programme featuring plenary and parallel sessions. The Actuarial Society of
Malaysia (ASM) cordially invites you to submit papers for the presentation
at the 23rd Asian Actuarial Conference. Contributions are sought from
various actuarial practice areas of relevance to the Asian markets.
Possible
areas of interests for your presentations include but are not limited to
the following:
Life
insurance / Health Insurance / General Insurance / Retirement / Investment
/ Reinsurance / Risk Management / Innovations / Distribution Channel /
Regulations / IFRS17 / Data Analytics / Technology applications / Takaful /
Banking / Wider fields / Professionalism and ethics
A
typical presentation session shall be 45 minutes in duration, including
(Q&A), subject to final decision by the Program Committee. The
conference fee for one speaker in each session shall be waived.
Important
Deadlines
- 15 March 2021 – Expression of interest
with an excerpt and an outline of the presentation and a brief
background of the presenter should be addressed to presentation@aacmy2021.org
- 30
April 2021 – Selected presenters to be
notified
- 30
June 2021 – Completed papers and
presentations to be submitted for review, with formal presenter
biography and photo.
Note
that the presentations shall be published on the 23rd AAC website and
application. By submitting the presentation slides to the 23rd AAC Program
Committee, the presenters shall be deemed to have given permission to
publish.
