SHAPING THE FUTURE THROUGH REGULATION AND TECHNOLOGY

ARECA, the Casualty Actuarial Society Regional Affiliate in Asia, is pleased to announce its second seminar in Bangkok, Thailand. Asia Region Casualty Actuaries (ARECA) is one of 18 CAS Regional Affiliates providing high-quality education opportunities to CAS members, candidates, students and other risk professionals across the world. We welcome members and non-members with an interest in general insurance to attend our seminar on November 17 in Bangkok. We would like to extend to you our cordial invitation.

The seminar will be a full-day event featuring a rich list of speakers from diverse backgrounds and specialties. CAS President Nancy Braithwaite, together with our CAS international ambassadors and Chief Actuary from Department of Insurance and Financial Services, will also be traveling to Bangkok to meet with members, newly-qualified candidates, local actuaries, university faculties and students. We warmly welcome our members and industry friends from Thailand and South East Asia to attend this seminar.

The programme will begin with a CAS update from Ms. Braithwaite, a panel discussion on detariffication; and other topics including Cyber Insurance Modeling, Crop Insurance, and Blockchain Technology, concluding with another panel discussion on how technological impact has changed over the course of actuarial work. A luncheon will also be provided. A detailed agenda is expected to be released in the near future.
