2017: Joint Regional Seminar – Bangkok “Divergent—The Devil is in the Details” At S31 Sukhumvit Hotel
Objective: The Joint Regional Seminar (JRS) is an annual event co-organized by the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, Actuaries Institute Australia and Society of Actuaries with the support of the local actuarial societies in the region and designed to assist actuaries and other professionals in meeting CPD requirements.
The Seminar: This year’s seminar is “Divergent – The Devil is in the Details”. The programme will feature the more traditional actuarial topics such as IFRS17, Asian market and product development, as well as sharing of advanced development such as new investment ideas, insurance analytics, etc. In line with this year’s theme, speakers will focus on the detailed application where practice can diverge between countries/companies despite the approach being similar on the surface. This JRS will bring our audience to focus on understanding the core actuarial technical applications required to adapt to the new and changing landscapes, regulations, technology. We are confident that this will be a seminar that all levels of actuaries could benefit from.
